Our ongoing commitment to the protection of your privacy is essential to maintaining the relationship of trust that exists between Volunteer Access LLC and all of our users, whether they be a nonprofit or other volunteer organization seeking volunteers (each, an "Organization or School"), volunteers belonging to such an organization, or volunteers with an individual account. This privacy policy (the "Privacy Policy") is intended to help you understand our online information security practices.
Volunteer Access collects the following types of personally identifiable information directly from schools using Volunteer Access: student first name; student last name; student/school official email address; password; IP address; grade level; and school. We may also generate a login ID for the child that is different than the child's actual name.
Volunteer Access may collect certain non-personally identifiable information from visitors to our site, such your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring website addresses. This information is used by Volunteer Access for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the Volunteer Access Web site.
For organizations, we provide a way to add additional people to your organization’s profile, and we will collect names, e-mail addresses and phone numbers of additional members you wish to add to your profile. Organizations may include both volunteering organizations, which provide opportunities, and sponsoring organizations (such as schools) that monitor, track, and report on the activities of volunteers.
Organizations may manage opportunities, including adding new opportunities, reviewing existing ones, and deleting opportunities. Opportunities may be defined as unstructured opportunities or with defined event calendars requiring signup. To enable this functionality, organizations will be able to view basic information such as the names of volunteers signing up for its opportunities, and the hours they are claiming for the event.
For volunteers, we provide the ability to search for and review volunteering opportunities. Volunteers will also be able to view logged hours, ongoing opportunities, upcoming events, and other opportunities the volunteer is a part of.
